S-Matrix Customer Privacy Policy

S-Matrix Corporation (referred to hereafter in this document as "S-Matrix") provides this Privacy Policy Statement to make customers aware of its privacy practices with regard to how their personal information is collected and used, both on-line and off-line.

Customers are S-Matrix's most valuable asset and we recognize that building long-term business relationships depends a great deal on trust. This trust begins with our commitment to respecting, as well as protecting, customers privacy.

The S-Matrix website www.smatrix.com has been designed to allow users to visit the site without identifying themselves or revealing any personal information. Throughout this Privacy Policy Statement, personal information refers to any information that is unique to an individual, such as name, address, e-mail address, phone number, etc. If users do decide share personal information with S-Matrix, they can be assured that this will only be used to support your relationship with S-Matrix.

What information may be collected

During the course of your relationship with us, we may collect personal information to enable you to register for training programs, download software updates, make technical support requests, or to register for customized sales and marketing events. We may collect such personal information as your name and contact. To tailor subsequent communications to you and improve our products and services, we may ask you to provide information regarding your personal or professional interests, demographics, experience with our products and contact preferences. Personal information may also be required to determine access eligibility for certain restricted parts of the S-Matrix website. Data collected on-line may be combined with information provided off-line; for example, information provided via hard-copy form while attending an S-Matrix sponsored seminar.

How this information may be used

S-Matrix uses your personal information to better understand your needs and provide you with better service. Specifically, we use your personal information to communicate back to you, provide updates on service and benefits, and to personalize our web sites and communications with you. From time to time, S-Matrix may also use your information to contact you for market research or to provide you with marketing information we think would be of particular interest. We will always give you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving such contact. 2. Choice

S-Matrix will not use or share user's personal information in ways unrelated to the ones described above without first notifying said users and offering a choice. S-matrix will also provide users the opportunity to opt-out, at any time, of certain or all contacts from S-Matrix, and we will do everything possible to honour such requests. The opt-out choice will be offered at the bottom of all S-Matrix on-line or off-line communications to you. 3. Onward Transfer

Whom the information may be shared with

S-Matrix does not sell, rent, or lease user's personal information to others. Unless we have your permission or are required by law, we only share your personal information with other distributors of S-Matrix products and services or service providers (a reseller, agent, distributor, shipper, credit card processor, etc.) who are acting on our behalf for the uses described above. Such business partners are required to keep this data confidential and may not use it for any purpose other than to carry out the services they are performing for S-Matrix.

Subject to your permission or as permitted by law, the personal information that you provide to us may be transferred across state or country borders to consolidate data storage or simplify information management.

However, S-Matrix may disclose users personal information (i) if we are required to do so by law; (ii) if we believe that it is necessary to protect and defend the rights of S-Matrix; or (iii) in order to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or government inquiry.

4. Access and Accuracy

S-Matrix makes every effort to keep user's personal information accurate. We will provide users with reasonable access to personal information provided to S-Matrix and reasonable ability to review and correct it or to request deletion, as and where applicable. To protect user's privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify user's identity before granting said user's access or enabling them to make corrections.

S-Matrix is committed to ensuring the security of user's personal information. To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of personal information, S-Matrix has put in place appropriate physical, electronic and organizational measures to safeguard and secure this information.

User Forums

This site may contain areas where S-Matrix software users can post communications including but not limited to blogs, chat rooms, bulletin boards or other user forums. Users of such areas on this website should be aware that any personal information submitted there can be read, collected, or used by other users, and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. S-matrix is not responsible for any personally identifiable information that users may choose to submit to such public areas.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

S-Matrix reserves the right to modify its privacy policy at any time. Changes to this policy will be announced by means of a notice on the S-Matrix website home page.
